How many concurrent connection should I set

Hello All,

I plan to run Asterisk 1.8.6 + FreePBX 2.9 on the server with specs below:

  •      Processor   2x Quad core Xeon Westmere  4C  E5620  (2,4 Ghz) 12M 5.86 GT  80W ( support  dual  processor )

  •      Chipset  Intel  5520  with QPI up to 6.4GT/s 

  •      Memory  6 x 8 GB DDR3-1333 ECC REG (Max 192 GB/12 DIMMs)

  •      HDD  2 x 500 GB SATA   3,5” Hot Swap ( Max 8 )

  •      HDD  2 x 2TB Enterprise  SATA   3,5” Hot Swap ( Max 8 )

  •      Expansion slots :  1 PCI- E 2.0 x16  + 1 PCI-E 2.0 x8, 3 PCI – E 2.0 x8

  •      Intel ICH10R for 6 SATA, RAID 0,1,5,10 (Windows ), RAID 0,1,10 (Linux )

  •      Onboard LAN : Dual LAN with Intel 82576 Gigabit Ethernet  

  •      Redundant  Power Supply  720w

  •      Chasing 2U Rackmount

I will turn ON Call Recording, IVR, Voice Mail, Call Queuing…

and I also want to limit number of concurrent connection… my question is: how many concurrent connection should I set for the above situation?

I need advise

hi:
you have to indicate the interface for PSTN or E1/t1. if only sip, i think should be 300(MAX).

oops, sorrry, I forgot to mention:

I have 16 PSTN lines and approx 250 extensions…

btw, does my server specs enough for running on such conditions?
