Hi，I use a USB-CDROM to install AsteriskNow, since I only have a laptop without CD-ROM.
This is really an issue with installing CentOS, so you might get better information by, trying to reproduce the problem with the same version of bare CentOS, and then using appropriate support channels for CentOS.
/dev/sda is not a real CD-ROM, or a USB stick with a CD-ROM image. It is strangely formatted for a USB stick of any kind (one primary partition and one secondary).
