Final Steps Help

Hello all…first post and also a complete novice on * so please be gentle

In the office where I work, we have 2 x PSTN lines coming in and my ultimate aim is to have these interface into a VOIP based PBX.

At present I have a Raspberry Pi running FreePBX which is an Asterisk server.

Have this configured with 4 internal extensions (301 - 304) and these are working as they should.

The area that I need help on is having the PSTN lines reach the server and then being able to place calls out. Hardware wise am using a Cisco 2600 based router with a 2 port FXO-EU card fitted.

What I was wanting was if an external call comes in on PSTN line 1 (#1234) then extensions 301, 302 and 304 will ring and then if PSTN rings (#5678) in 301, 303 and 304 will ring. Have set up a call group for this on * which I think will work.

I suppose long story short is, what is the correct config for the router and how do I set up the trunks and associated inbound and outbound routes on the Asterisk

For the second part of the question, FreePBX is supported at freepbx.org/forums/

David55, thanks for the reply.

Have registered and posted over on teh FreePBX forums but have had no replies back as yet. My thoughts were that as it is Asterisk that it is running, why not ask on teh Asterisk forums as this should be the place where all teh knowledge is

Because FreePBX has a huge preconfigured dialplan, limits the possible configuration, and generally provides a higher level abstraction than Asterisk.
