I recently learned about the Asterisk project and it looks very good!
I have been looking for a solution like this and was wondering if it would meet my requirements. I work for a company which employees many offsite workers. In order to keep track of time of arrival and departure, employees call a dedicated phone number indictating the times of arrival and departure, whcih is verified against the caller ID timestamp.
With a growing number of employees this is creating an addiontal workload. We are currently looking for a automated sign-in/sign-out system, where an employee could call a number and then punch in an ID. We are then looking for the phone number, ID, and timestamp to be stored and able to easily verified.
Is this type of setup possible with Asterisk?
