Exit MeetMe after a time

Hi All,

Is it possible to move to next priority (actually a voicemail) if there is only one person in the conference (meet me) and if the caller stays there for a particular time say 60 seconds? I am using Asterisk 1.2.18 in a CentOS box. Please suggest. Thanks in advance.

This was such a good answer that it needs to get to at least 3 places on google.

Why not just set an absolute timeout on the channels? Something like:

exten => 123,1,Set(TIMEOUT(absolute)=3600)
exten => 123,n,MeetMe(blah,d)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I saw this answer in the mailing list, but I was under a notion that TIMEOUT(absolute) exits the meetme even if an active conversation is going on? I need this to be done only if there is only one person in the conference. Anyways let me try it first. Thanks again.

Steve Edwards make this change in his 1.2 but it was 1000 lines of C code. You could try it yourself or perhaps post a bounty if this is a pressing need.

ooh… i guess i ll write a scheduler then which checks for open conference every minute… :smile:

You could write a daemon to do a meetmecount every 60 seconds and shut it down on two consecutive values of 1.
