How can I tell what DPMA Version is currently installed on my Asterisk / FreePBX unit? I would like to know if I need to upgrade to 1.7 or not.
From the Asterisk CLI:
“digium_phones show version”
Thanks the reply was “Digium Phone Module for Asterisk Version 11.0_1.6.0”. I’m guessing this means I have version 1.6.0? Looks like I will need to update 1.7.0?
You don’t have to update to 1.7, but there are a couple of bug-fixes in 1.7 - wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/DIGIUM/Changes
I need the voicemail time stamp bug to be fixed. I’m also looking for a way to implement a blind transfer with the rapid dial keys, as the assisted transfer losses the caller id of the original caller.
Thanks for the help!
If you’re having trouble with caller id on call transfer, you probably want to look into P-Asserted Identity. The phones support it, Asterisk supports it, beginning with 1.8 as “connected line updates.” That’s not firmware or DPMA dependent.
