Does Voicemail message limit applies globally or per folder?

According to the Asterisk documentation, the parameter “maxmsg” represents the “Maximum number of messages per folder. If not specified, a default value (100) is used. The maximum value for this option is 9999. If set to 0, a mailbox will be greetings-only.”

Does the parameter “maxmsg” applies per mailbox folder or is making reference to the folders “Inbox”, “Old”, etc.?

With the mailbox folder, I’m referring to having the configurations below in the Voicemail.conf file.

[abc-mbox]
