Digium TDM400P FXS Card

Dear Alls,
I am new user on this forum.
Digium Card and Asterisk are new with me.
I have just bought a Digium TDM400P FXS Card but I did not know how can connect it with Analog phone line (RJ11 Cable).
Could any people guide me how to do it?
Thank you so much for your helps.
Best regards,
Vu Quoc Viet

if it is FXS it is made to connect a telephone to asterisk, to connect to your phone ‘line’ (e.g. to a POTS line where you get telephone service) you need FXO.

Dear p_lindheimer,
Thank for your reply.
I did not know if it is only FXS or FXO.
I saw on my board only 04 X100M pecies so I think it is only FXS Card.
Could you tell me which is type of my board, FXS or both FXS and FXO?
Thank for your helps

vu_quocviet. You have the board, you have the information, google, digium’s site and the web in general are you friends, use them to answer your own question about what you have. (or you invoice might tell you).

Dear Mikosiko,
Thank for your guide.
I checked this board. Both of them are red card.
So they are FXO cards.
I would like to ask you a question as below:
Could we connect the RJ11 cable, 2 wires, to the port of TDM400P FXO card?
Your soon reply will be high appriciate.

checked this board. Both of them are red card
Are you sure you have 4 ports on the card.
You should see four red fxo modules in this case and not two.

Could we connect the RJ11 cable, 2 wires, to the port of TDM400P FXO card

If that RJ11 cable is an analog telephone line from your telco and the
port on the card to which you ar attatching is an fxo then yes, you can.

You also need to configure your zaptel.conf, zapata.conf and
extensions.conf accordingly.
