What is the difference between DID and DISA??

Why? This feels a bit like homework. They are not mutually exclusive.

What I will volunteer is that the VoIP community misuses the term DID.

The DISA, Direct Inward System Access, application allows someone from outside the telephone switch (PBX) to obtain an internal system dialtone and to place calls from it as if they were placing a call from within the switch.

The term DID originated in conventional telephony, where it allowed an individual extension on a private branch exchange to be reached directly via its own standard outside number. In modern usage, voice-over-IP providers commonly refer to individual numbers provided to their subscribers as DIDs.
