tried uploading a .wav file to use as my personal voicemail message.
thing is can’t find how to use it.
still have the standard “person at extension…” greeting running.

how is it i change this

dial ext and hit * followed by password, then hit menu option 0 to record your own

where is this file kept as i’d like to change it with a pre recorded file in .wav format.

/var/spool/asterisk/vm/default/{mailbox number}/unavail.wav|gsm|wav49

i’m not sure there is a default unavail message, i think it’s separate sounds strung together. you might just need to move the ‘default’ unavail file you create into each mailbox as it’s created…

i’m sure there is an easier way, but i can’t think of it right now.
