Connect with Remote Console

Hello,

Please forgive my level of green.

Having placed the following line in inittab on a Ubuntu Server (Debian-like) system:

trying to connect using the ‘-r’ option fails and displays:

asterisk.ctl indeed does not exist. (Asterisk is running though!) Can I create it myself? What should it look like? Or is there another solution?

have you tried typing just
asterisk

without the -r? then do it with the r after

Actually, I just figured out what the problem was. I’d forgotten to edit /etc/defaults/asterisk to set RUNASTERISK=yes
Works great now!
