Competing against big brand PBX ..how to stand out!

I know Asterisk was the one to leverage the stunning amount of features that most PBX brands lacked. Did those competing brand companies change there features to make them more attractive?

Example, would it be nice to incorporate Ai receptionist instead of the dull IVR options? a very pretty Ai receptionist on the display answer the call and it is totally fooling the public thinking they are talking to a live receptionist? I can see this as a total replacement for the legacy IVR of the current day. Also, does asterisk have the option of incorporating 3 factor authentication for voicemail? I know, its annoying…but makes the voicemail far more secure! also, can voicemail work only for that one particular phone in that one office?

Asterisk isn’t a PBX brand; it is a telephony toolkit brand. PBX brands built on top of Asterisk include PBXact, FreePBX, Switchvox, Issabel, etc.

Asterisk has the component to handle the telephony parts of multifactor authentication, and has APIs that allow it interface with other components, but it is up to the PBX builders to use these.

Personally, I don’t like computers pretending to be humans, or even humans programmed, with scripts, to be like machines. but, again, Asterisk has the APIs that allow it to be integrated with such systems.
