Change Root Password

Hello everyone,

Can you please help me with changing our root password? What would be the CLI command for changing it. Our asterisk is currently loaded in CentOs.

Also, is the root password in asterisk is the same with the root password of the CentOS? If I change the root password of the asterisk, does it affect the password in CentOs?

Asterisk doesn’t have a root password. For CentOS, you change it using the standard Unix type command, passwd.
