Bt uk callerid configuration

Seems to be many problems and issues with callerid in the UK. Use the settings below and give it a try.

zaptel.conf:
loadzone=uk
defaultzone=uk

zapata.conf:
[channels]
usecallerid=yes
cidsignalling=v23
cidstart=polarity
sendcalleridafter=2
put signalling, channels, and other options down here

Load the drivers with opermode=UK.

EX.
modprobe wctdm opermode=UK

Once the driver is loaded then start Asterisk.

The patch seems to work good.

I might be wrong but I don’t think you can write a ‘UK Caller ID’ posting because you have numerous carriers such as BT, NTL, Telewest etc.

I understand, because NTL bought up many smaller companies years ago there isn’t even standard technology for NTL, it depends what switch technology the company they bought was using.

This is what I was told, it may be incorrect but it sounds reasonable to my untrained ear.

Changing title to include “BT” just to make sure.
