Attended transfer with ARI

Can someone confirm or deny the ability to initiate and complete an attended transfer using ARI in Asterisk 16?

What we want is to use a web interface to initiate an attended transfer which puts the caller on hold, dials the transfer target, ask if they want the call, then we either complete the transfer or bring the caller back and tell them we can’t transfer them at this time and take a message.

Feel like almost anything can be done with ARI but want to be sure it’s possible before going down this road.

That’s not really an attended transfer from the perspective of protocol level, but in ARI as you have complete control over things you could move the channels around appropriately, do things to them, to accomplish what you mention.
