Asterisk wont start on FreeBSD

Hi guys,

I’m a newbie to asterisk so apologies in advance for any stupid questions…

After a lot of messing about I’ve got asterisk to compile on my freebsd box. However, when I try and start it I get the following errors in my logs…

Can anyone tell me what they mean? All I’m trying to achieve here is a test platform. I don’t want to do any PSTN hopoff etc, just a basic PBX that puts all outbound calls through my VoIP provider. I’m hoping this means I don’t need such things as sound cards, modems, etc. Is this correct or am I on a hiding to nothing here?

Thanks in advance,

Adam.

it says dsp not found, im assuming thats my sound card device. however, when i goto amp’s sysinfo page it shows that it detected my sound card as this:

00:10.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97]

any ideas whats wrong?
