you can use ready applications like Flash Operating Panel . you can write your own customize application using AMI as well .

I personally using nagios to monitor asterisk extensions , sip trunks , dahdi channels , asterisk service , network availability ,etc . but it is not a software for asterisk . Its a powerfull monitoring system that can be fully integrated with asterisk trough free plugins .
