Asterisk/Trixbox and VMWare Time Problem

Hi am running the new Trixbox 2.0 under VMWare Player. For some reason, the time keeps running fast. Just wondering if anyone knows what could be causing this problem.

I have gone to vmware.com and gone through their knowledgebase and found an article regarding the time problems and they suggested I edit my configuration file in VMware to specify my particular processor speed and I have tried this with no success.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It’s a simple fix. You need to add “clock=pit” to your kernel parameters, then rely on the VMWare tools to keep the time synced. For more information see:
