Asterisk installation on CentOS :(

Hello

I hope there is a solution to this

I doanloaded Asterisk 1.4.0 then tried installing by: 1. make clean 2. make 3.make install but it gave me a error 1 error then I found a topic on the forum about the same problem and someone responded saying to use this command:

./configure && make && make install

But this one gives a error too :frowning: it says: “configure: error: *** termcap support not found”

Is there anything that I can do? I’m using CentOS 4.4

I did some googleing and found out the following packages nned to be installed:

bison
libtermcap
libtermcap-devel
newt
newt-devel
ncurses
ncurses-devel

But the only only one that worked with YUM was bison the others don’t install using YUM.
How else can I install them? I usaully put yum install package name, but it does’nt work for these packages :frowning:
