I’ve been Googling for a few days now but can’t find an answer to this.
I have Asterisk setup so if i dial 7 before a number then the call will go out my Sipgate line (as opposed to the PSTN).
What i would rather have is, if i push line 2 on my Aastra 480i phone the phone will add the 7 prefix for me.
I thought this would be easy but i haven’t found any info on it.
Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know how to do this on an Aastra phone?
Many Thanks,

Hi
Is the phone on Asterisk ?
If it is just give line 2 a context that dials out via sipgate and not the pstn.
Ian
Ah… I see what you mean.
I never thought of that.
Yes i have Line 1 connect to Asterisk as extension 101, and Line 2 connects as extension 102.
I’ll have a Google for that.
Thanks for the speedy reply!

Youve lost me know, What more do you need to “Google” for ?
The answer is to use different contexts.

Oh man, my brain’s not in gear today!
I’ve got you now.
I change the context of extension 102 from context=local to context=voip, and in extensions.conf make [voip] only able to dial out through sipgate.
Thanks again Ian
