Zaptel 1.2.7 wont compile on Suse 10.1

If I stop the compile quickly enough, I get the error /usr/src/zaptel-1.2.7/vpm450m.c:34:20: error: octdef.h: No such file or directory
When I know the file exists in the /usr/src/zaptel-1.2.7/include directory.

This forum post recommends just commenting out the offending code. a) This should just work without any tweaking, and b) I do not understand makefiles well enough to know what I’m doing in one. Any help?

For now, can I just use Zaptel 1.2.6 with Asterisk 1.2.10? It complies just fine. I will be using an X100P for a short period of time and then either a Sangoma a200d or TDM400.

I always use Fedora Core and never had a problem.

Well you should save this helpful information and when someone asks about Fedora Core you can post it then.

This was a question about SUSE 10.1
