I am looking for binaries or a way to build and run asterisk on WS2008 …
I was able to build and run it with cygwin on windows server 2003, but it is not working on WS2008 (crash at startup).
Any ideas ?

I hope you are doing this for “fun”. Don’t try to fit a square into a circle. Cygwin is great and has its purpose, but I hope you are not using this in any test lab or production system 
You may want to be more specific and provide details of what exactly crashed. Logs and error messages would be a great start.
