What level of PC Hardware do I Need for AsteriskNow?

Hi,

We’re looking to setup a VOIP system using AsteriskNow, with 5 SIP trunks. However I’m completely new to Asterisk, and while I know it will run on a dedicated PC, I can’t find anything on what level of PC hardware I need for it. Can anyone help?

Wrong forum.

Any hardware that supports the Intel version of CentOS included in AsteriskNOW. You will not be able to buy hardware below the minimum performance for basic VoIP use.

any modern pc can run with your requirements ( with 5 SIP trunks). but there are other factors to take under consideration. like amount of simultaneous calls, Transcoding, Call recording, conferences. This will add more load to your CPU
