what is the max concurrent call count in the asterisk 1.8 version?
There is no answer to that question.
That version is seriously obsolete. The maximum current calls are determined by available resources. Some of those, like CPU and memory depend on the exact nature of the calls.

I’m going to use this already opened topic to ask a question about the same subject. Should I open a new topic, please let me know.
I have an “asterisk.conf” file with the following settings:
maxcalls=200
maxload=6.0
when one of these limits is reached (200 calls or a load of 6.0), asterisk starts denying incoming calls. Alright, that’s what it was expected to do. The problem is that already connected calls are no longer able to go through the dialplan. Calls that are on the confbridge will not be able to leave conference (only by hanging up), calls that are on the IVR will drop, and so on.
Am I configuring something wrong? Or is there a way to limit the maximum number of calls without affecting calls that are already connected?
btw, i’m running asterisk 18.
