I am the Communications Technician for a not-for-profit Hospital/Healthcare organization with 12 facilities and a total of 1700 DIDs. I have built a small * box and installed several AASTRA 480i’s and all is working perfectly with the exception of a reverb in the speaker of the handset when I speak.
Today I will be showing the system to my board of Directors and Management Council to convince them that Asterisk is a viable solution. I know they will be asking for examples of other users of * and I would love to be able to give them some names of other large * installations including DID, set, and PRI counts. I know that Asterisk could save us in the area of 60% of our next telecom infrastructure upgrade to VOIP.
Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.
