We need to develop freepbx type solution. Which language is preferrable- PHP or Java . Kindly help me decide with proper reasoning. TIA

Thanks David! I have both kind of developers. Just want to know which is preferrable. I dont see much community support for Java. So M little confused…Please guide

Most of the open source projects derived from Asterisk have been developed on PHP. It is extremely easy to Intereract with Asterisk AMI, ARI, AGI using PHP , also a lot source code and samples on the web based on PHP. So I dont say PHP it is better than Java I just says that due to the huge amount of information and projects using PHP and Asterisk, PHP seems to be a better choice.
