VoIP calls quality monitoring per user basis

how to monitor VoIP quality per user?

Is this log available in Asterisk 1.6?

If no, will it be implemented?
if no, what tools can i try? I already tried Observer, VQManager(good). what else?

You can try PBXMate from SoliCall. This commercial software is used to improve call quality (cancel noise & echo). As a by product it also monitors call quality.

looks promising. but site is too poor
solicall.com/products.html

no prices, no trials.

i dropped them mail and asked send me back presentation.

Did you get a presentation as you requested ?

presentation - no.
only tech. manual “how to install” and trial vesrion for linux.

:frowning:

log of calls quality does not contain MOS, only jitter/loss/latency

for VQManager is the only solution i found usefull.

MOS calculation is a simple formula based on the other parameters (jitter/loss/delay).

So, I do not assume it should be an issue to ask them to add it if you require. (or calculate it externally).

Don’t they offer additional benefits like improving the quality?

I thought that MOS calculation is “know-how” algorithm based on loss/latency/jitter and on sound quality.
if no, do you know any publicly available formula i can use?

As for main puspose of this utility. Improving quality is not my option for now.

Take a look at:

davidwall.com/eModelForm.htm

It contains a calculator and also it gives you the reference to the standard specifying how the calculation is being performed.

Hope this is helpful,
