Video Call Quality and Resolution

I’m trying to improve the Video call Quality.
I have increased the max call bit rate parameter to 8000 and even to 10000.
But there is no improvement in the video call quality.
I’m using VP8 codec for video call.
Please let me know if any other changes has to be made in order to improve the video quality.

What client are you using?

PC client is Jitsi and Android client is Linphone.
Audio Codec set to G722 and Video codec set to VP8.

Within Asterisk we don’t have anything to control such stuff with such clients, it’s left purely up to the client.

So, is there any settings that we need to set in the client to improve the video quality ?

I can’t comment on any client side stuff, I have no experience there 'nor any idea how it works or determines encoding bitrate.

can you suggest some client that will provide good video resolution and quality in combination with asterisk ?
You might be aware of some client right, at least when you are testing the asterisk capabilities

Not really, most video stuff is now focused on WebRTC using the browser.

I see, just to ensure that i set everything fine in Asterisk side, i set the max call bit-rate in chan_sp settings as 10000.
And sip_general_custom.conf has below entries
prematuremedia=no
progressinband=yes
allow=h261
allow=h263
allow=h263p
allow=h264
allow=vp8
jbenable=yes
jbforce=no
jbimpl=fixed
jbmaxsize=0
jbresyncthreshold=200
jblog=no

Please check if anything has to be done

That’s all I know of.
