Usb 3g dongle device is disabled

hi. i bought 2 huawei e179 usb 3g modems and i am trying to setup one in each system.
the first system is up and functioning.
the second system has the following error

[Aug 14 12:54:19] ERROR[1206]: at_response.c:364 at_response_error: [dongle0] Getting IMSI number failed
[dongle0] ‘AT^CVOICE’ device disabled
[Aug 14 12:54

any ideas please?

Probably you have to unlock Voice on that dongle

I normally used DC-Unlocker for that job…small fee with paypal…and job done…

There is simple trick to check if dongle is unlocked. Just plug to computer and try make call with application MobilePartner

by using it in a computer i can have incoming/outgoing calls, sms, data. everything works fine. by having it in asterisk it goes straight away to carier’s voicemail, not asterisk’s. then i see the following in asterisk:
