Unable to re-open master file Permission Denied

Hey I just got a fresh install of asterisk going and have everything set up but when I try to place a call, I get: [quote]Unable to re-open master file /var/log/asterisk//cdr-csv//Master.csv : Permission denied[/quote]

Not sure where this is coming from. I have another asterisk server and I copied the sip.conf from the working server.

I can post config files if necessary. Has anybody seen this before? Thanks

You are trying to run Asterisk non-root, which often causes problems, but the logging directories aren’t writeable to the user under which you are running.

I was logged in as the root user but apparently mysql was not running on the server. As soon as I started that everything started working
