Two cards in a box

Hallo,

i installed two cards on my debian machine: a te110p (for a PRI channel with only 16 lines) and a tdm400p (for one analog phone).

I tried various configuration, but the two boards don’t work toghether.
Can i use two boards in a single machine?
There is a special configuration?

Anyone can help me?

Thanks,

Gabriele

what problem do you get?

they should be able to work together, but remember that they change each others channel numbers. IE if the TDM400 is in the first pci slot, then it will be 1-4 regardless of what modules are installed (it uses 4 channels), so the PRI will be 5-whatever…

Hi,

i must create two span in the zaptel.conf?

i can use a configuration like this:

span=1,1,0,ccs,hdb3,crc4,yellow
bchan=1-15
dchan=16
loadzone = it
defaultzone=it

or:
span=1,1,0,esf,b8zs
e&m=2-16 # or 1-16, or 1-15…

span=2,1,0,esf,b8zs
fxoks=1 # or 15, or 16…

have you got an example?

thanks for your help,

Gabriele

if the TDM card comes after the PRI card, then it should start at channel 25 i think so you would do fxsks=25

remember that you need to first configure in /etc/zaptel.conf, then in zapata.conf…

Great… you was right :slight_smile:
It works… quite… this is my zaptel.conf

span=1,1,0,css,hdb3,crc4.yellow
fxoks=1 #because my tdm is in PC1 slot and TP110 is in PC2 slot
fxsks=4
bchan=5-20
dchan=21

In zapata I use:

group=0
signalling=pri_cpe
context=form-pstn
channel=>5-11

group=1
signalling=pri_cpe
context=outbound
channel=>12-20

group=2 #for analog telephone
singalling=fxo_ks
context=internal
channel=1

group=3
singalling=fxs_ks
context=outbound
channel=4

But asterisk doesn’t work…
and it stop after registering channel 15 … :frowning:

Not solved yet … i am sorry, Asterisk doesn’t start (please check my previous post). Could someone help me with zapata.conf ??

Thank again

is this a typo or actually what you have in the conf file ? singalling

no no… the conf file is correct… signalling.
singalling is a copy error.

thanks

If I had 2 single T1 cards in a box, the channels #s on the 2ND card start at 25 ???

What would happen if I upgraded the 1ST Card to a 2 PORT T1 card,
would all the channel #s on the 2ND card suddenly Go UP ?? - If so,
that could really screw the pooch

Don’t mean to hijack the thread

yes they would. because the card you initially had used 24 channels, and the new card has many more. Just figure out the difference and update all the following channels…
