Trying to find Alison Keenan British English sounds

I am trying to locate the Alison-Keenan British English sound files for Asterisk PBX.

Original host was enicomms.com/cutglassivr/; announced May 2006 but this is dead.

The mirror at https://hellocomtec is also dead.

Searching online finds references to the known tarballs including:
Alison_Keenan-British-English-44kwav.tar.gz
Alison_Keenan-British-English-sln.tar.gz
Alison_Keenan-British-English-alaw.tar.gz
Alison_Keenan-British-English-ulaw.tar.gz
Alison_Keenan-British-English-g723.tar.gz
Alison_Keenan-British-English-g729.tar.gz

but only dead links?

Does anyone have a copy of these sound files that they can share with me?

Regards

Mike

Hi there

Try web archive. If that doesn’t work, there are also British sounds on the Asterisk site;

I wrote a page on installing additional sounds on a Debian system;

Hi Rob, thanks for the update but the Alison Keenan voiced samples are not at that location.

Alison’s recordings were relased in 2006 and for ten years or so considered the best British accent recordings for Asterisk. I used them on my PBX at work and at home and didn’t back them up as I assumed they wouldn’t “go away”, however the two principal hosting sites have closed and my searches find no alternatives… which is a shame…

Index of /pub/telephony/sounds/ looks like it has what
you want - specifically:

asterisk-core-sounds-en_GB-sln16-current.tar.gz
asterisk-extra-sounds-en_GB-sln16-current.tar.gz

and the related files with different encodings.

Antony.

It is also possible that putting the birds in a laboratory setting
inadvertently renders them relatively incompetent.

Hi there

I did a search for ‘Alison Keenan’ and ‘Asterisk’. This provides several links. CnP to web.archive.org. Go to a 2006 snapshot.
The Internet Archive website doesn’t always work properly. So you may have to try several links and several times.
This one worked for me:

http://web.archive.org/web/20060708022705if_/http://www.enicomms.com:80/cutglassivr/audiofiles/Alison_Keenan-British-English-sln.ta$

I just did a ‘aplay -fS16_LE -c1 -r8000 invalid.sln’.

Rob

Hi there

Sorry, the link should end in tar.gz;
