TDM410 Support in DAHDI

Really just a curiosity question:

Does anyone know the underlying reason that support for the Digium TDM410 was dropped after DAHDI 2.x? I realize it is an old piece if hardware, but it would seem as long as it is PCI compliant, there shouldn’t be an issue. The following:

seems to imply that the underlying source code is still there and “works”. Posts in other forums talk about rebuilding with older versions of DAHDI, kernel, etc. The latter implies maybe newer versions of the kernel do not support the board.

Again, just trying to satisfy my curiosity here. I have already ordered up an A8A card for moving forward with my project. And the project is nothing more than a home “hobby” system. Yup, too much time on my hands!

Thanks!
