Asterisk doesn’t do pass-through for either.

Are there are plans to support VP9 in a future release?

Digium doesn’t have any plans to do that for Asterisk 12.

No one on in the developer community has indicated that they plan to do so for Asterisk 12.

Patches are welcome.
