Someone who is sick of his current setup

Question:

I’m looking at implementing Asterisk at home. So here’s my question.

I currently use Vonage. I know they don’t really work with people, but would I need any additional hardware to interact with another VOIP company? (Could I just use the Asterisk box, is the question, connected over ETH cable to the outside world…)

And then, question two, is the internal network. Would I be able to get two or three Cisco 7960 SIP hardphones and use them on my ethernet network that is run through the condo?
