Sip Channels not Closing in asterisk

so for some reason my sip channels are not closing after the other end hangs up.

The carrier says that they are sending the good bye ack over rtp but the channel stays open.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this ?

I installed a new linux router a couple of weeks ago to do QOS shapping I removed the QOS but the problem persists.

Any help on this would be welcome

No such version number. They don’t start with letters, and the latest is about 1.8.4. My guess is you have a version extensively patched by a third party.

That’s an ABE version. There is a 3.6.2, but it’s been superseded by the current releases 3.6.5 and 3.7.2.

Regardless could someone help me with the reason the sip channels keep growing ? or the format keeps displaying 0x0 Nothing? what does that mean ?

Most likely because of a bug that has already been fixed. 1.4.3 is so old that it is unlikely anyone remembers what bugs it has. Running sip debugging or a sip history may help, but it probably isn’t worth the while of anyone on the open source side debugging this.

Are you sure you don’t have a commercial support contract, as Asterisk Business Edition is a commercially supported version? The contract may have run out, of course.

hmm so is this a known bug? or a setting issues? I have the rtptime out option set to 15 secounds but the channels seam to be frozen. this only happens when someone hangs up on the other end.
also why does the format say 0x0 (nothing) what does that mean?

To eliminate a setting issue and work out why format is 0, you will need to provide full SIP debugging output.

what would be the best way to capture the sip debuging info on a high volume call server ?
