The commonly used GUI is FreePBX, which is supported at http://community.freepbx.org/
I would add that I’ve used X-Lite directly with Asterisk. Whilst I would actually need to connect a browser to one to give exact details, I don’t remember there being anything unusual about it, so just following the normal setup procedure for a dynamic address SIP device and the X-Lite should be enough.
