I am in need of a very simple telephony system for a new office. The office space will be shared with a realtor. We would like a system where there are two separate lines with phones that show which line someone is calling on. We would ideally like so that at first only our own calls (his calls to his and mine to mine) ring our office phone and then if someone doesn’t pick up after X rings THEN it rings the others phone (since we will be taking each others calls if the other is out of the office). I would like to have voice mail features for both lines and to have the voice mail be the last hop in the tree.
Hope this makes sense… my question is what should I look for in terms of hardware and what special PCI extension should I buy from digium to have this functionality? I’m new to PBX systems so any recommendations would be very helpful.
