Hello. I’m looking for good server for VOIP. I will have some 1000-2000 connections in the same time. What is good? something from HP Compaq ?what type? or maybe create Asterisk Cluster use OpenSER as a SIP Proxy and some servers. Please for help. Thank’s for ALL. Bye
Lots of connections doesn’t do much on * unless your ethernet card or IO bus sucks… what will haul on * is if they all go in conference rooms or transcode.
A common setup is to put OpenSER in front of * and have it deal with client connections, asterisk then deals with providing content and routing… you might wanna check the voip-info.org page called asterisk dimensioning for some examples of what has been done…
