I think this is a well known issue. We have cisco 7940G and 7960G’s, connected to asterisk via and SCCP channel. The button lables are coming up as
. From what we have researched its because of old firmware on the phones, and because of missing XML files on the server??
Can anyone confirm this, and if so, let us know where we can get the XML files from, we have searched high and low but they don’t seem to be avaliable anywhere. We are a UK company, so im not sure if there are different XML files for different countries?
Also, regarding firmware updates, the phones were bought new from a suppier, but not a cisco partner, so this is making getting the latest SCCP firmware very difficult, can anyone shed any light on the best way for this?
