We have paging systems separated by distance, with the only connection available is ADSL between them. I have looked some across the forums and have not yet found anyone doing something like this. (unless I misunderstand the problem/solution)
We would like to go from the master paging system into a soundcard on the Asterisk computer, across the ADSL line to another computer with a softclient, out its sound card into the paging mixer. There would not be any conventional phone handsets. It would all be computer to computer.
Can Asterisk do something like this?
Is it reasonable to think about doing it this way?
