I have just setup my first AsteriskNow system and its working fine 
. However I have a question regarding the port usage of the http gui interface. I have used the default port of 8088 for the gui. However I did not realise this as I was able to connect to the gui using port 80.
I am able to connect to the gui using port 80 and 443 despite Asterisk being configured to listen on 8088. When I do a netstat –l I see that ports 80, 8088 and 443 are open.
So are all connections that are aimed at port 80 or 443 just forwarded to the gui (8088) port as mentioned with the redirecting to “You are being redirected to the configuration pageâ€
