So here is what I’m trying to figure out. I’m using Primus VoIP in Canada which uses MGCP which is known to not work that well with Asterisk. Does anyone know if the following setup will work:
(internet)-----(primus_voip_router)------[TDM10B]----{phone}
I was hoping that I could plug the phone line from the primus VoIP router directly into the FXO port and then connect the phone to the FXS port.
Does this setup make sense to anyone or does it sound like it would work? Anyone have any better ideas (and no getting a ‘better VoIP service provider’ is not a viable option so please don’t suggest it).
