I am continuing to have problems with echo on a PRI line. It is usualy an issue on long distance phone calls. I have changed the echo cancelation settings in zapata.conf with no luck. It seems to have little effect if anything makes things worse. Currently my zapata.conf file is as follows:
[channels]
context=incoming
switchtype=national
signalling=pri_cpe
group=1
channel=1-16
echocancel=yes
echocancelwhenbridged=no
echotraining=800
echocancel=64
rxgain=-3.0
txgain=-3.0
With these settings I have received less complaints but am still getting a few.
I know my PRI card (TE120P) does not have hardware echo canceling, would switching to the TE122 with the echo canceling module fix my issue? Are there any other settings I should be trying? I have done much reading on the issue and know there are some software modules that might work, but could never really find how successful they are.
Thanks for the help,
David
