i have cisco phone 7945 and when i dial one extenstion to another one i have sip protocol with asterisk they are connected but it takes 4 to 5 secconds to dial the number can any body tell me how should i solve this problem.

Configure the phone’s dialplan (not the Asterisk one) so that it knows numbers are four digits.
If that doesn’t help, you are going to need to provide tracing information.
