PBX not detecting incoming call

I have plugged a pap2 into an old pbx and whenever I call, the pbx doesnt detect it, hence doesnt ring, if I remove it and put any phone then it takes the call. is there a setting to be done in asterisk under that sip account or perhaps the phone?

It could be a configuration on PAP2, on the ring tab, you can alter the ring power.
