One processor is better than two?

Is better just one processor than two for asterisk running.

I don’t think they are right, and i would like for them to prove and then make such a general statement.

A little googling will turn up lots of disputes in this regard, some with details.

there have been a few discussion on this forum over the years about using smp machines. some users have reported success with interrupt binding too.

Hi

I have been running systems on Dual cores, Hyperthreading and SMP machines with no issues. These include a good few high capacity conferencing servers, and to date we have had no issues.
