Hi I am setting up a server for a http, ftp, and asterisk server (LAN only). First I was wondering what OS would be the best for all three for someone with little linux knowladge. Second where would I find some good up to date info on how to install and change prefs on that sys.
I use Centos 4 but it is very much up to personal choice. There are lots of docs on the Centos web site at www.trixbox.org) if you want to get up and running more quickly. Trixbox uses Centos.
i’ve had some success in the past with a ClarkConnect server (clarkconnect.com/ … go for the community edition), but i’m not terribly au-fait with their licencing now they are on v4.0.
