We have moved our office and servers to a new location. Our problem is that our IT guy who administers the asterisk server left us and didn’t give us any passwords to access the server. Our problem now is that our Voip phones won’t connect to the server 'coz the server won’t recognize the pins that were used to access the accounts and we can’t do anything since we don’t have the password of the server. Is there a way to reset the asterisk server password w/o reinstalling asterisk? And how do I connect to the server to edit the configuration files because we don’t see any gui? Please help us. Thank you.
Are you referring to the root password of the box?(root login)…There might be some service not running thats why you can’t connect to server…
