No Sip command under "asterisk -r"?

Hi there

I just installed the newest Asterisk on a new Ubuntu machine with these packages :

asterisk-1.4.15.tar.gz
asterisk-addons-1.4.15.tar.gz
zaptel-1.4.7.tar.gz l
ibpri-1.4.2.tar.gz
freepbx-2.3.1.tar.gz

Everything installed smoothly, and there are no alerts or errors under FreePBX’s GUI interface as well.

But then when I do “asterisk -r” to connect to the console, I found out that there is no “sip” command at all.

That’s weird, did I miss something during installation?

try ‘module reload chan_sip’ or ‘module load chan_sip’

see what logs are saying about ‘chan_sip’
